One of Eyezon’s best features is the ability to share information on demand and we do this through having access to your constant location. This way, you'll always be aware of your surroundings, know what’s going on near and/or around your vicinity, which allows you to come to the aid of strangers if the need arises. Apple, Google, weather apps, navigations request the same location access, and with Eyezon, it’s no different. If this still doesn’t make you feel comfortable, you can always change your visibility on the map in settings. But to make it fair, you won’t be able to see other users on the map either. Remember, to be apart of the future, and to change the way we communicate and interact, location will play a big role, but keep in mind, no one will ever know its you, you're completely anonymous, so be cool stranger, everything is alright.
Glances are small visual preview cards of what other users are willing to stream and the carousel is the deck, that holds all of them. Glances are not only photos; they can be short video clips as well. When a Glance is created, Eyezon does all the hard work for you by utilizing artificial intelligence and neural networks to smart tag objects, making your glance more discoverable and searchable when someone uses our search bar. We even tag your location for you and allow you to share it to your 2nd favorite app, that is, after Eyezon ;)
When we say 'Hello Stranger" we really mean it. While using Eyezon, you're completely anonymous, especially while your avatar (red dot or grey) is shown on the map. The only time your identity will be made known, is when you request a stream, provide content that someone has requested or stream for someone. Our mission is to have strangers helping strangers and feel safe while doing it, so a bit of transparency when receiving or providing content, in our eyez, is important.
Streaming in Eyezon is like streaming in any other app, except for the reason why you stream. So there is nothing to worry about, but if you're still concerned, and worried about other people’s privacy, then just simply ask if they don’t mind. Keep in mind, in different countries there are different laws concerning this matter, and we respect that, so ask our community of strangers to do the same.
It’s really simple. Find a glance that looks interesting to you in the carousel or through the search bar, click on it, type in your request and push “request a stream” button. Action!
We believe in good hearted people, and want to reward those users for their kindness accordingly, with repoints. You generate repoints when you stream, which is stored automatically to your wallet, and you can also collect repoints by helping strangers by responding to their requests, which they can than later reward you for.
Repoints, a convertible, Eyezon exclusive currency that can be exchanged for rewards, spent on in-app purchases like hats (skins) for your avatar and much more in the future. Starting January 1, 2019 you will be able to sell repoints to companies interested in placing their ads in the app. That’s right, you will be able to exchange it for real money.
Many people tend to ask this question, because Eyelands are a new concept but not that much different then trending hashtags or groups/communities. Eyelands allow you to connect to your favorite topics and/or places, and give you the power and control to filter the things you see. They also help you to stay up-to-date on the latest content connected to your favorite topics and/or places.
Eyezon is not another social media app, it’s more of a day-to-day, human google search engine where social interactions with strangers will get you the critical information you need. So, to answer your question, we don’t tell the world you are live and streaming. Instead, a little red dot at the bottom right hand corner of the glance will glow and indicate that this glance is currently being streamed.
The Global Eyezon Community Map, is a back-up search. Let’s say you search for available seating at your favorite cafe, but there are no glances available, simply leave a request on the map and allow another stranger to answer it for you once they are near the cafe.
When you see a red dot on the map, you'll know that this user has an active glance and is willing to stream for you. Now, if you see grey dots, those are users who don’t have an active glance, don't worry, they're not completely useless, they will still be notified of requests near them and can quickly jump into action by helping out. Also, if you wish to standout from the crowd, you can purchase for hats for your avatar with repoints, which will be attached to your avatar and appear on the map, once you have an active glance.
